It was a pretty nice day out at one point, so I went down and launched at Shilshole. I headed over to about 200 yards off of Carkeek park to troll in shallow for coho or catch and release cutts.
I had more some trouble with eel grass, so I moved out to about 120' of water. Switched from a small 4/0 dodger with a green mini-hootchie, to a Purple haze flasher followed by a Silver Horde sort hootchie looking thing. (sorry) From that point on I only fished for about 45 min. but I caught and released various blackmouth and small shaker silvers x3 I called it a 3 star day even though they were shaker fish, at least I felt that I was setting up my gear properly and something was interested for a change. Nobody else on the water or at the docks.
