We Launched at the everett Zoo at about 630 am or so. With all the boats going out we thought that our lingcod spot was going to get beat up bad. We headed out into the rollers and beat our way to possession. Got to our spot and there was actually only a few guys that were there, it was nice. High seas though. We got into about 50 feet and started jigging, I was using 6oz point wilson dart, herring shape, Jermey and marv were running artificial herring, We started hooking up almost instantly 20 inchers lots of them. I hooked up with two keepers, after my first one I was going for some delicious cabezon, I got two that were 28 inches 8 lbs(lings), So i just gave up one to the captain. We all had on a couple of monsters. I had one that felt like a rock that was alive, I couldnt budge him at all. I'm guessing that to be a pretty big ling, Jerm hooked up with a little 18 20 incher and as he was reeling in it got struck hard and made a good dive, then released, he reeled in a chewed on ling. marv had a good one on too. but the big boys didnt want to stay hooked up. We landed about 30 to the boat. pretty darn god day..... Lings are Here
