23rd, 24th, and 25th of August each resulted in landing a king or the opportunity to land one. Since then the fish gods have flipped their tails at me and laughed.
On Monday I arrived shortly after somebody drifting a smelt, caught a 5 pound coho and the next thing you know 4 of the regulars show up doing the same thing.
Tuesday was wet bust so I went nowhere. Wednesday was nice weather and I figured I'd better give it a shot. Weather was very nice. Fishing wasn't as eventful.
I did have one semi hard hit but it ended as fast as it occurred so I'm not sure what it was. One coho did jump in front of me.... I'll daydream that it followed my jig and decided to jump around instead.
Saw a school of what looked like porpoises (group of 4 or 5) surfacing and what not.
Jig Used: Pucci Green
Number of Jigs lost: Thankfully none
Targets Species: Coho or Chinook
End result: Old discarded cat food or tuna can - gave one heck of a fight
1 flounder
1 drifting log (I swear I caught this log last week too)
1 skulpin/bullhead
All items caught were released unharmed... except the tuna/cat food can which was given to some old guy collecting recyclable stuff.
