Kind of a two thing report with clamming and oysters, then fishing at a lake. Went with the dad to get clams and oysters so him, my mom, and my sis could eat some, I don't eat those nasty things or fish rather than shrimp and halibut. We had a good time and got our limits of oysters and butterfly clams? I think my dad said they were called, I forgot, pretty easily. Just had to shovel underneath the rocks about 6 inches and got the clams and my dad waded around and grabbed the oysters so we could shuck. After doing that we also headed to a lake to go fishing to see if it was true that one of the lakes around here had crappie and fished it finally after wanting to for about a year now. Ended up catching 2 10-10 1/2 inch crappie and keeping 6 trout. We let go about 15-20 trout and lost a bunch while trying to fish for the crappie. Seriously had a bite of trout on every cast for the first 30 or so casts while my dad was talking to some guy about fishing up at Sekiu on the phone later in the year. So had a pretty good day, it was nice out, and I'll be back at this secret lake which isn't that secret to try and catch more crappie.
