My son and I droped 4 crab pots at 5am on the redondo side , 2 pots in 65ft of water and the other 2 in 90ftof water apon arrivale it was high tide so we trolled right in front of redondo for the first few hrs. picked a few shakers up no keepers ! Then at around 8am we shot across to maury island and fished it for the next few hrs. picked a few more shakers up . At around 11am on the north side in 120ft water and 60ft down the rod poped off and fish on nice size fish lost it 10ft behind the boat! few choice words and back in the gear went . With in not even 5min. FiSH ON !
This time this one stuck , a nice 15lb buck hatch! first king ever and soooooooo many more to come. To top the day off we had 3 dungees and 4 red rocks to bring home what a nice day on the sound .

AWESOME nookie!

The 4 pots and 3 dungees sounds about right for our area too. Tuff to find them buggers in keepable shape and size around here so 3 aint bad and certainly enough to enjoy! Nice job and report :-)

salmonbarry - I was using a red UV flasher and red UV spoon with smelly jelly scent , I was right in front of the cable crossing sign in 120ft of water 60ft down it was 1hr. after low tide lots of bait out from top of water to 120-150 ft down !

thanks Snake! I will give it a run Wednesday morning~ coyote or coho killer on the spoon? good news on the bait balls. Heard they are gorging themselves on candlefish so may start off with the coho killer.

Tides should be good in the AM for the couple of weeks- keep at 'em!
