My dad and i luanched the boat at 6:00 in the moring for the opener.
droped the pots about 615 and our lines were in the water about 630! we were throwing out a kingfisher spoon, and a green and white hootchie. our line were about 75ft to 65ft
fishing was real slow until about 730! my rod goes WHAM!!! of the downrigger and the fish was striping line out!. played this fish for 10 mins and im heart is pumping cuase this fish is getting airborn! we get the fish to boat and takes off again, bring her back in and then i saw my downrigger cable :0 the fish tryed to rap itself around the cable but i tighten'ed the drag a little and stoped the this fish got her in the net and it was a hatchery buck! im estimating about 7-8 pounds. we bbq'ed her up and it was so good!
