In line to get in the parking lot at 5:40am and it was already around the curve and starting up the main hill. Pink Pole got there right after me. The parking gate opened about 5:55 am. Dock gate opened at 6am. Low tide was at 9:10am -1.1feet, high tide was at 5:03pm 11.4 feet. I don’t remember when people caught fish. It was slow for me until about 11:30 and between then and 1pm, it was real fun. Saw a school of about 50 and another around 25. That is the first big school for this season. Before that it was smaller schools. Fish were caught back side of dock, on shore, and in the front of dock. The fish went all over. It didn’t clear off until about noon. Then it was pleasant. I came home with 2 at 2pm. Pink Pole wouldn’t leave until she got one and that was at maybe 4. I caught my fish on a Wannafish A Lure DPS 1.

Has anyone noticed that this year's fish are bigger than last season's pinks?

Thanx Toni :-) Have you tried fish 'n chips out of pink salmon yet? I've never tried any salmon that way but thought about it after your cooked kok pictures.
Still sounds like people are having to work for limits out there. 50 fish is a decent school but not as big as many of the 2009 schools I remember (hundreds of fish). A LITTLE bit early though still. Gotta get out there myself.

I didn't see any big schools either. Fifty is better than I saw.

Thanks all. @ knotabassturd I sure have and enjoy them too. I went today and I didn't catch any fish or even hook up. Others did. The schools are getting big but the fish are acting different than in '09. They go under the dock frequently. They hardly bit today.
