Hit the water early and set 2 crab pots on the south side of Maury Island in 70 ft of water baited with salmon heads. Set out trolling using coyote spoons and hotspot flashers and over the course of the day we used every combo on the boat with no luck. Hoochies, different flashers spoons and lures you name it. Lots of huge jelly fish in the sound right now, every time we reeled in our down riggers and poles they were covered in slime and tentacles. The crab lines were even covered in jelly slime and it made a mess when pulling them in. ( note to self: wash hands better before going to the head when jellyfish tentacle slime gets on your hands yeeeoowww ) For the days work we had 3 legal crab in the pots, just enough for a well deserved snack after cleaning the boat and gear.
