Fished Alice lake today.....got their about 10:30....for anyone who would like to flyfish this lake for the abundant largemouth bass there are 2 things to remember..........1 is to use surface bugs.....preferably poppers...and the next is to keep the colors dark.....today i caught at least 30 fish and actually caught a 22 inch largemouth that must have weighed at least 2-3 lbs. Quite a fight on a flyrod I might add...lots of smaller fish but the big ones are there if you know where to look....the lily pads and docks provide good cover and lots of places to fish........make sure you have a boat because there is only 1 boat launch to access the lake from and if you think your gonna catch a lot of fish from the boat launch you're kidding yourself.....great lake to fish during all times of the day....good place to learn all the tricks of the trade of fishing with surface bugs....also there are a lot of sunfish in the lake that put up a great fight I might add...........don't bother with the trout here if you ask me its over stalked for such a small lake....you probably wont catch anything to any size if you're fishing for trout.......have fun....I sure did
