We went fishing out of Shilsho Bay marina this morning. Low tide at 6:30. We were on the water by 6.45. We fished Meadow Point for the first hour with no success at all. No fish on the finder and saw only one fish caught on any of the dozen or so boats in the area. About 8:30 we motored over to West Point to give a try over there. Fished with hoochies for the first 30 minutes with no luck. About 9 AM we switched over to cut plug herring and started getting hits. Lost the first few without seeing what they were but about 9;30 I hooked and landed a 10 lb. hook-nosed silver. That was fun. A little later my buddy landed a smaller silver and we both landed a couple decent pinks. All on cut plugs, all off divers as we didn't have downriggers. Fun morning, would have been pretty Blah except for the bigger silver but that made our day. Hopfully that was the first of many more to come. Sorry, no photos.
