Had high hopes to get into some Silvers while up in Port Townsend for a friend's wedding. I left the small boat launch in downtown at 5am. I used the advice from Salmon University to find the channel to troll in however there hardly any boats anywhere.
Our first pink was boated around 7 and our second around 7:30 but after I moved over to the Whidbey side just to get a little better tide situation.... still no luck. I didn't see a single boat boat a fish, much less fight one.
One downrigger was set up for pinks (pink hoochie, white flasher) and the other was set with a green UV flasher and a green/cookies & cream spoon. We landed one pink off of each set up.
