Just got back from an outstanding weekend of kayak fishing in Depoe Bay,Oregon.Was fishing the ORC (Oregon Rockfish Classic) spondsored by NWKA (NorthWestKayakAnglers.com) We had 63 kayaks fishing for rockfish,cabezon,and lings on Saturday.There were prizes,trophies,bar-b-ques,and some outstanding camraderie with fellow anglers.We camped at Chinook Bend resort on the Siletz River,a very nice outfit. The winning fish was a 19 lb8oz lingcod.The winner,Micheal Rischer,from Portland took home a new OceanKayak Trident 15 a cool driftwood trophy,and we all made some excellent memories and friends. Good fishing for all.Lots of fish caught.If you have never fished Depoe Bay,put it on your list.Great place to fish.
