This lake produces some huge Largemouth bass!! Setting out around 6 am I found the bite was on and the big female bass hitting anything in their path. Starting with a spinner bait combo oaklahoma small and a big willow leaf, the bass were on it.. after it warmed up and the sun started poking out, I put a jig and pig combo on and the hit it as well.. Seems like the fish are active due to the late spring we are having and are on a feeding frenzy this year.. My thinking is, they are ready to spawn this year due to the higher populations of bass and are in competition for food and spawning beds.. Hit the lakes now for the best bass fishing in years. if you want guaranteed success stick with the grubs and work them slow in the shallower 2-10 ft of water..

Yet, this is what is working for me, it may be a little different for you. One still has to be patient.
