It has been about 35 years since I went fishing out of Westport. It was like another life time. Going on the charters with large limits on fish. I stopped going when the fish restriction increased. Maybe the late 70’s.
August 8 was an amazing day for me. I had to get up at 1:30am to get to the boat launch at Westport by 5am.

I had an idea for a new lure which I tied the night before wondering if it would work. ZEBRA Mojo. It was popular while it lasted. It was lost to big salmon but really probably a shark. We lost several flashers and lures to powerful swimmers. Glen had said bring less gear since there will be four of us in the boat. We were scrounging around to find something similar to Zebra get the other half of the King limit.
I was fishing 25 feet of wire in 30 feet of water. We travelled north of Westport but I don’t know how far.
The boat got its limit of Kings by 9am and I think I need to get a bigger cooler.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
