Fished early morning on 9-1 and 9-3 at or near the shipwreck area but out in the deep water towards Possession bar, maybe 400-600 ft bottom. Me and my bud had 8 hookups and landed 8 fish over the two days. Both days same setup using flasher hootchie combo with a strip of herring for scent. Buddy used a purple haze flasher and I a Q-cove breakway red flasher. I sure love those breakaway flashers. We both ran about 30' behind the rigger and used appx a 32" leader to a green glow squid with a herring teaser, I always use a teaser strip if I got herring onboard.
Both days the fish seemed deep even early morning. First fish did hit at 40' early Sat morning but then seemed pretty quiet so figuring in the full moon that prior eve we went down deeper till I finally stared hitting fish at 80-100 ft. Monday we hit the same area and same depth and again limited by 8am. Trolling speed was about 2.8 going into the tide but had to bump it up considerably to get the rigger angle we like going with the tide. Got fish either direction. Biggest 2 fish went 8lb apiece with slight hooknose followed by cookie cutter 4-5 lbers. Smoked up a batch and silver for dinner both nights.
A good friend of mine also reported success in the lower Snohomish for Coho pulling small wiggle warts I believe.
