Hit the Spokane Street Pier for like the 5th time this year. Bought some brand new lures from Lincs tackle shope.[I highly recomend Lincs as a quality fishing store] I was using a 1 ounce drat herring colored and wasnt getting anything few btes so i switched to a larger dart and fish didnt even look at it I used four different lures all different colors and nothing. so I decided to switch back to the original one. First cast and a school came by and I felt a bump. BAM!!!!!!! Set ythe hook and he strted running. I was like sweet so i called my grandma to get the net. I fiought him for about 12 seconds when the line snapped. i was bugged and he came to the surface and jumped he was about a 39 inch king. So Im guessing 20-25lbs. So I am excited to gop abck down there after school gets out tommorow. good Luck and tight lines...

That gets the blood pumping for sure. It pays to have some good fresh line and check near the hook end often for little nicks or abrasions cause ya never know when you gonna need every bit of the strength of that line. Nice job hooking that one, it sounded awesome.

Way to go having your grandma there and especially having her get in on the action! It's always more fun when someone is with you so you can talk about about your catch later. And it being family is all the better. I have 3 daughters 13 - 22 y.o. and I can't get them to come out with me and my wife says it is boring! You lucked out! Maybe sometime when you have one on you could pass the rod over to your grandma to have her reel it in. Now that would be something to talk about! Keep up the good work. Good luck!
