Caught my first Coho! My son Charlie and my friend Reggie headed out at 4:30am for Mukilteo (ramp closed all day) so we ran to Edmonds and fished off of Whidbey. We put 3 Coho in the box, one for each of us. Victim to the Ace High Fly, 40 - 60 feet. My son's the biggest at 7 lbs, and he won't let me forget it. He is more excited about the eggs for curing than he was about the meat! Now that's a fisherman! Others were catching at 80 - 95, or so they told us.

We had half of one tonight for supper, and will smoke the rest with this summer's Trout catch tomorrow.

At Nate Treat says, "It's Coho, a Go-Go!"

Rates a five for both first Coho's for Charlie and me.

nice job. Was it crazy on the water with the derby going on?

Mike, would have been interesting to have flown over M9 and 10 in a plane. From Shilshole to North of Everett, would have looked like boats traveling on I-5. 6 lanes of boat traffic traveling North and South.

Including the dreaded, boat crossing in front , from the front, from the side and from the rear.

Should have been a crao load of fish caught. By 9:30 the largest fish checked into Shilshole ramp was 12, and not a derby entry!

Mike it was as MotoBoat said - looking North toward Mukilteo, there were so many boats, it looked like the Spanish Armada. The thing that got me, was the two person crew with no one at the wheel, saw that way too many times, and had to jog out of their way.
