Got out early both on Friday and Sunday. Launched in Mukilteo on Friday to avoid the longer run and Everett on Sunday. Much nicer to launch in Everett! Mukitleo always seems to be amateur hour. People aren't ready to go and need to take a few seconds to learn how to back their trailer. Try it in your driveway at home please. Anyway enough of my rant. Had three fish in the boat in no time at all and then the bite quit on us on Friday. Had to struggle to find that last fish. Sunday had three fish in the boat by 9. Never found that 4th one. Lot of people. Guess it was a tourney for the visually impaired out of Edmonds. Lots of people having a good time though. Lots of whooping and yelling. Most the fish we caught were pretty nice size I thought. 8 to 11 pounds. All good keepers. Caught one king and let him go safely at the side of the boat. Started fishing at 60, but dropped to 80 and 100 both days before we had anything hit. Sunday had several more fish on, but couldn't keep them on. Shakers maybe. Bite seemed to stop around 8. Perfect water. Used a green ace high on one rod and a purple on the other behind a flasher. Probably the same thing everyone else is using. Both seemed equally effective.
