Well, spring has sprung in the Chelan Valley. The weather keeps changing on a minute by minute basis. Everything from warm sunshine to wind driven snow. We are catching really nice numbers of fish. What makes it even better is there are plenty of big fish mixed in. We are getting our fish above the Yacht Club all the way down to 350' deep. The fish are still being caught on a mixture of K-Lures and U-20 flatfish in the Luminous Chartreuse flavor. It seems that every day is producing one or more fish over ten pounds.
We have seen schools of kokanee on the surface in the vicinity of the Yacht Club. The Lakeside kokanee should be lighting up soon. Gentlemen, scent your corn! A wedding ring behind a flashlite should be the ticket.
A quick survey of anglers pulling their boats off Roses Lake reveals that limits of planter sized rainbows are coming in an hour or two of slow trolling.
