Had a great morning on the Sound! Put in at the 14th street launch in Ballard... don't wanna rust my trailer and like the natural flush after leaving the salt in my motor! Put in around 545 AM, went through the locks with some other fishing boats, slammed it up to Edmonds with some COLD air in the face! Got there, joined the ball of fishing boats and started trolling. We had deep divers, flashers, and hoochies with a strip of bait. It was very evident when the bite was on...nothing was being netted then all of a sudden fish on here, fish on there...then Fish On board! Nice 7 or 8 lbs female. My buddy and I chanegd the other set up too match the one just proven successful...but it must have been the rod and not the gear because it caught the next one too...this one was a 6-7 lb male. Fished for another couple hours...then were turning north to make one more up and back before heading home when we caught the biggest hook up of the day...someone elses down rigger balls! broke all of our lines, tangled up all their gear...what a mess, but got everything cut free and realized it must have been an omen and we went home!

Great day on the water, nice to still see the sun all day long! 14th street boat launch was tied up on our way out of the water by a 25 foot home made steam boat that was being dialed in...anyway different story...pulled the boat finally and had a solid burger at Hales Ales!
