I thought I should take the day off and try to catch a Whidbey Steelhead before the end of the world! I left my house at greenbank at 7am with the wind blowing about 30mph and headed over the hill to Lagoon Pt. Breakers were hitting the beach about 2ft high and it was miserable but managed to hook into a decent fish, I just could'nt hold onto it long enough to see what it was. I have seen 3 nice fish come out in the last week, one about 15#! If the weather calms down soon there should be some good fishing over here in the next few weeks. It's a different kind of fishing for these metalheads but a lot of fun when you hook on to one of these Bad Boys in the salt! I have found a pink spin-and-glow with a pile worm works great. Hopefully next post I will be able to include a picture.
