Fished the Nisqually Delta today from my Kayak... caught plenty of Sole and Starry Flounder all day. The bite was really strong just before and after low tide.

Fished mostly along the drop-off in 30-50' of water. Drifted jigs with curly tailed gulp/power grubs off the bottom on a drop-shot rig. some of the best action occured, and the largest fish was caught in the channel on the way back to the boat ramp in 12-15' of water. I only kept fish larger than 15" and released at least a dozen smaller...good luck!

If you want to take your kids for a fun day out ,you can use Worms on the bottom from a pier or beach and will get flounder all day long. Great fishing by kayak awesome job!

I hadn't heard much before of fish tapeworms and other parasites in the meat. Then I just started reading here about fish tapeworms in Riffe. I found this National Park Service article that is very informative about fish parasites, which researchers have found are indicative and infect fish, not people. Just make sure and clean the fish and this is the reason to lay off the sushi.
