Another late report but another great day of fishing! So the day starts off with a great sunny morning with calm water for my 35 minute boat ride. I get to my area for catching my bait and have figured out what depth they are at now so didn't take long and I had my bait and was ready for a real fight! Moved over to ling territory and by now the wind has kicked up a bit and small white caps have formed. With the wind and current there is not much time to get your line down and in the right spot before you have to motor back into the "sweet spot". After fighting the wind for a bit, I decide to throw down the anchor and save some fuel for a bit. Right away get one on that decided he didn't want to play about half way up and let go of the sand dab(bait) leaving it looking like swiss cheese. Things went dead for a bit so decided to motor mooch some more. Hooked a couple more and lost them. Finally hooked one that would make it in the boat, measuring 30 inches it was a little smaller then the previous ones, but was invited to dinner anyways. Even with the wind, was a great day fishing.
