This was our third Ling Cod trip this year and finally limits! After being skunked on the last trip out we gave this trip a little more patience. We launched around 5am at Don Armini and buzzed around Alki to catch some bait before heading over to the Magnolia marina rock wall. After fishing a few hours with multiple bites and no fish in the boat our attitudes weren't the best but we decided to give one more drift to the wall. The tide was almost to slack and with in 5 minutes we had the first fish in the boat (around 9:30) - a 13 lbs beauty at 34 inches. It didn't take but 10 more yards down the wall and we had the second, a little smaller but much bluer, 30 inches and 10 lbs! We were off the water by 10:15 and eating a delicious lunch in no time at all! Plus the chickens love the guts and scraps! Thanks Ling Cod!
