I met up with Cami and Glen at 5am at the Point Defiance launch. We ran straight over to the girl scout camp and trolled. We saw a few people hook up. We released 2 dogfish and towards the end I released a starfish. Glen hooked up into a big one. I don’t know how deep or his depth but it was a returning native king. I thought it was as big as the 25 pound king I caught in 2010 but he said not. Maybe 18-20. I think it was 20! That was exciting but Glen noticed that his kicker wasn’t peeing very good...it seemed to get worse so we quit about 9-9:30am. They have had quite a few motor problems in the last 6 months with the main.
Tides Low 6:03 AM 3.8 feet High 11:25 AM 7.8 feet
What I found out at the launch from the fish checker was that if I want to catch returning kings don't bounce the bottom...I did not know that.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Thanks. @Salmonbarry he didn't say what depth to fish. That was my last part of the report "I did not know that" I don't know where Glen was fishing, LOL not on the bottom.

Great looking starfish Toni! We may fish the area on Saturday 6/29. I had planned on heading to Chelan again but with the 110 degree forecast I think not. Besides, I want to catch a bigger starfish than...

The returning kings will typically be in the lower 1/3 of the water column, just not on the bottom like the resident blackmouth. I'll typically start at the 2/3's mark and move around from there based on what my sonar is telling me.
