Get that Kayak out there in early Sept and load the rod with a flasher and squid or even just a plug cut herring! You dont need to be that far out. A charter boat skipper told me 30 years ago that early Silvers tend to run east until they hit shallow water at Browns Bay. Then they just kind of mill around for awhile until they get there bearings and then they head back into deeper water. I've found that to be true.
