Went over by the ferry dock in Edmonds. Got out there around 7:30a.m. Once on the water we had a few problems, one of which made the day a little more difficult. One of the electric scotty's electrical plugsins when bad so one rigger the entire day turned into a manual. If anyone has ran into this problem you know how much fun the handle is. Now getting a back up manual for this instance.
Headed just south of the marina by the fuel dock and fished in the 160-250ft. range about 150-170ft. down on the cable. Used hoochies/coho killers/spoons/etc. Only thing that seem to get the attention was the hoochies. Green/Green with flasher. Hooked a few dogfish so beware! Pole popped and grabbed pole thinking it was seaweed. after reeling a few seconds my uncle realized it was not seaweed or a dogfish and its was bouncing the tip. After a few minute battle the fish was in the boat and it was a HATCH.Ended up weighing 11 lbs. 8 oz.
Can't complain about the day as we were one of the only boats we saw leaving with fish. I would adv. people to get out there early as after the morning bite we didn't see anyone's net move all day. Tight lines everyone!
