My husband and I decided to have a little dinner picnic at Brown's point and do some fishing. Got there around 6:30, saw one guy walk out with a fish. I started out with a 2" pink buzzbomb but decided to switch it up to a jig. I picked out one of Toni's WannaFishaLure, I believe one of her Dash point specials, but without a trailer hook. It didnt take long before I hooked into the first pink of the day. The bright fish put up a great fight for its size. It was also a rather large pink, probably around 6 or so pounds. I believe the Wannafishalure pink jig is a quarter ounce. Its lighter size than the buzzbombs allow it to be fished slowly and higher in the water column. I did not see any other fish get hooked while I was there. As the sun began to dip behind the mountains a group of curious otters gave us a little visit. Then shortly after I get a second hit. The fish jumps straight out of the water just feet from shore. Another great fight and a second fish bonked. This fish is bigger than the first one! These Puyallup pinks are much bigger than the Hood canal pinks. I end the day with two large pinks, both caught on the same jig. Lots of other fishermen and no one else hooking up. Thanks Toni! Both were bucks and both had underdeveloped sperm sacs. Oh and just an fyi, a seal came and actually swam right up to the beach between fishermen to see if there were any fish lying around, so keep an eye on your catch!
