Fished dash pt. from the kayak from 0730-1300, fished between the state park and the pier. 2 hrs go by without a bite so I switched my gear out, first cast toward the pier... bam fish on! Between the wind, current and the fish, I was gettin taken for a ride but after a little manuevering I was able to land my second humpy of the season. Fished for a couple more hours, hooked up twice but lost both of them then the action died down, called it a day. Combat fishing on the pier with only seeing a couple hookups and 2 fish landed. I saw a guy on the shore carry out 3 pinks. No massive schools yet but maybe by the end of the week.
