Decided to try our first run through the infamous 'Humpy Hollow' area... nice and sane on a Wednesday evening!
Not a lot of fish on the finder but it was a relaxing evening watching raindrops hit the water. Couple of nice strikes, one bright and feisty pink in the boat so it wasn't a wash (south of the shipwreck, 60ish ft on the downrigger in 120ish ft of water). Large white flasher, neon pink shrimp scent and a large pink hoochie with a sparkly skirt. Very snazzy.
Other folks we chatted with weren't having much luck either it seemed.
And I know the seals can be annoying when you're fishing, but we had one swim under the dock at Everett while retrieving the boat and pop up right next to us to take a peek. I'm sure she was looking for some tasty fish treats (back away from the cooler!) and it was a lot of fun to see one so close. Especially one who wasn't chasing my fish. :)
