Great night of fishing Picnic Point. Quite a few anglers out on the shore and very very good action from about 45 minutes before high tide all the way until about 20 minutes after dusk. Hooked up with many fish (Probably at least 8 or 9 solid hook ups), and had two that I fought to within about 5' and 10' of shore before they threw the hook. Didn't end up actually landing any, but many other guys did, I saw one guy take off with at least three or four fish. I was casting a pink buzz bomb with a pink hoochie and it was doing great until probably about half an hour after high tide. Things then slowed a bit, but right before dusk (and through to about 20 minutes after) the fly fishermen started knocking them dead. There were four of them working the point and I'm not kidding when I say that throughout that whole period there was almost always at least one fish on between the four of them. At times, all four guys had fish. At the same time however, the buzz bomb action really declined sharply.
Didn't end up bringing any home, but it was a great evening regardless.
