We (three) launched at Bush Point at 6 a.m. and ran north about a mile. Two of us were casting 2 ½ inch buzz bombs in pink and one was casting a quarter once round jig head with a pink micro hoochie threaded on it. All setups caught fish equally well. We caught our first pink at a quarter till 7 and it was fairly steading fishing after that. The bit would come and go but it was never long before someone had one on. We did have one triple which started and entertaining argument of who needed to get the net, all in jest. We drifted north with the current and would occasionally reposition the boat when we were getting close to shore or if we saw a school really jumping nearby. We would move back and forth between 50’ and 150’. We started trolling back once we were about ½ mile past Lagoon Point. We caught one trolling a pink wiggle hoochie (Shasta Tackle) two feet behind a six inch sling blade about 5 feet behind a Deep Six diver. We also caught one flat lining one of the Buzz Bombs. We only trolled for 20 minutes or so and decided to head in around 10. Total counts 11 caught (6 kept) and 5 “fish on!.....never mind” ‘s.
