We launched my inflatable raft off Picnic Point at about 10:30 am. Horizontal jigging pink rotators (w/pink hoochies), we hooked up immediately and brought a nice 4 lb pink buck into the boat. We had pretty consistent action up until about 1 pm, with our fourth and last fish being landed around 11:30 am. The pinks will literally follow your lure within mere feet of the boat. My friend even hooked up with a big pink after dropping his rotator no more than 10 feet below the boat and vertically jigging it only once. The Sound is absolutely BOILING with pinks right now. Even in the heat of the day fish were jumping constantly in every direction as far as the eye can see, even within feet of our boat. In total, my friend and I each landed 2 pinks (all bucks), with 3 or 4 fish lost between both of us. I even lost what I think could have been a 6-7 lb coho that jumped feet from the boat and catapulted my lure. Peak of the run, I swear!!!
