Was anxious to get the Tin cup out and try out my new motor and was hoping to enter the Edmonds coho derby but as work would have it, got so slammed on Friday did not get a chance to get tickets and when I called Outdoor Emporium, they had 2 left and would not hold them for me. So now it was up to hitting the Dumamish and chase some pinks and coho's with a million other people or have a calmer relaxing day out of Redondo where I new the pressure would be low but so would the fishing prospects.
I chose the latter as I was exhausted from a crazy work week so met one of my customers at the launch at 5:30 and it was a absolutely peaceful morning to launch and started trolling south towards Dash point. Worked the water pretty good and did see some schools of pinks here ant there and some silvers jumping out in the shipping lane. Tried everything we have but could not get one to take and finally ended up at Browns point where we just stayed close to shore and casting jigs and buzz bombs at them
By 2pm decided to call it a day so now came the moment I was waiting for! Went to start my new motor and she fired right up and after warming it up and making sure everything was buttoned down, put the throttle down and away we went!! Much faster then my 50 sizzler and we made it back to the Redondo boat launch in less the 10 minutes from Browns point!! I was grinning ear to ear when I got back to the launch and you would have thought I had limited out on silvers!! haha Anyway that is the only reason I rated this a 2 ! haha
