Took the quick 10 minute drive down to the beach at 4pm today. Not expecting much as I got nothing yesterday and saw only a handful caught.

At the beach, my buddy(who fishes this beach only, (42 on his card) said only 2 caught in last hour by 10 people.
Boats started netting at a pretty good rate, 20 yds. out after 1/2 hr.

Little schools moved in and out for next hour. Rollers/jumpers close in or far out.
Marked and gave away 3 pinks. Left a slot open for a silver as I released 2 more pinks.
Lost 3 other fish. Going 5-8 is fun off a salt beach, save the no silver part.

Saw 2 seiners cruising the area...so I'm guessing they knew about some fish in the area.

Sorry, no pics...I was busy fishing and giving away fish.

Side note: Saw a local hand off a hooked pink to a curious 6 year old kid, who's parents were having no luck. They landed it!

So cool to have no crowds and the combat fishing gone......Now, if I can land 20 coho in 17 days my wife will be happy.....
