After working on the $200 camper for a while, getting it ready for the opener this weekend at Lake Williams, I decided to take a break and fish the local lake that I've fished occasionally for the last 35 years. Gone are the days of bringing in a bread bag full of 14" perch! Using sparkle power bait, in about an hour I bagged three of the 15-17" triploids that were recently stocked. I was impressed at their size and spunky attitude. The State Game had two officers out checking licenses, they wrote on mine. A reminder to young and old, the city has outlawed the use of even an electric trolling motor on Green Lake. State regs don't reflect this. It would be good to force a change to that law as the crew people are very inconsiderate of the fishermen on shore and boat alike. Looking forward to catching one of those tiger muskie some day.
