Very nice day! Left Everett at 7:15AM. With a strong flood tide I ran all the way down to Shipwreck to troll back North. Gear down at 7:55, first fish at 7:55 and 30 seconds! We were done with two limits at 8:40. Gear was a combo of old school: Long and slender Abe & Al dodger, 31" leader hooked to a Purple Haze hoochie w herring strip cured in Green Fire Brine, and Newer school: Red Racer Flasher pulling a green Grandslam Bucktail with same herring strip on 31" leader.
Went 5 for 6, releasing one shaker. Best fish were 8.8 and 7.9 pounds. All were hens, and 3 of the 4 were on 55-60 feet of wire. Never got into area 8-2, Shipwreck was the place for us today. Didn't seem to matter which direction or speed we were trolling, since the first fish was trolling SW at about 1.5 knots while setting gear, and we caught others at 2.5, 2.7 and 3.2 knots heading generally North, but crossing the tide back and forth East and West. I tend to stay toward the channel side of the majority of the boats which has worked for me.
Saw some other nets in action, but I think we "out lucked" the majority today.
