10/13/2013 8:41:00 PMFar out! Glad you finally resolved the herring problem. I forget all kinds of stuff. Lost my best coffee mug a week or two ago. I sat it on the deck of my Seahawk while I was hooking the boat up, and took off with it that way. Probably on the side of the road somewhere. Those locks we use to secure the hitch to the ball, I've lost 2 or 3 of those. I sit them on the hitch tongue and forget to lock them on the hitch.

10/13/2013 8:46:00 PMWhoa...you get up earlier than me : ) Didn't fish today, but noticed there was a strong flood tide this AM moving about 11 feet of water during the Flood. That's enough to sweep lines around and tangle them up. I'm convinced the bait strips make a huge diff right now. You had some frustrations, but turned it into a good day...way to go!

10/13/2013 9:55:00 PMI forgot to mention that we started with 50ft of cable and started catching fish at 70ft of cable. When I was able to fish the Everett coho derby I was up by 230 and on the road by 3am just to beat traffic but after almost getting hit by a drunk driver in my lane we started renting a slip at the marina. I run braid with a 30ft leader of mono so I know what my pay out is lost about 10ft in one of the tangles as it was that bad. Still got bites and the bigger fish came on the shorter pay out. Ive set my coffee cup on my back bumper and had it ride 20 miles and not fall off. The flasher is a gibs and is uv and its hard to see but the hoochy is white with glitter and chartreuse stripes with a glow tinsel skirt.
