Finally beat my old nemesis, Lake Langlois. Fished from 1:00 until dark. Caught a good number of 10-12 inch rainbows on Thin-Mint Leeches, a white chenille minnow imitation. Near the end, I switched to a mottled marabou leech pattern and scored, finally, a 14 incher. Hurray! However, I forgot to turn off my headlights after passing through the I-90 tunnels out of Seattle and returned to a totally dead battery. Worse yet, I was the last one off the lake. Margaret was fuming the whole way to Carnation--especially after getting my directions mixed up and missing the Issaquah exit. Oops! That, along with leaking waders and a seam tear on my float tube will be keeping me off the water for a while.
Tight Lines!
