Went out in my buddies boat, 2 rods. Launched at Washington Park at 6:30AM, fished Eagle Bluff mostly and quit at 2PM. Nice day, no wind, morning fog, always pretty around Rosario Strait. 15 other boats around, only saw one salmon caught. I did get a strike about noon that pulled it off the downrigger, felt a fish briefly and then a harbor seal surfaced with about a 10 pound (probably) Chinook in its mouth. That was it except for 5-6 doggies. That seal followed us around off and on all morning and finally scored. Not a good beginning to this season, last year I had 1 chinook, 3 silvers and a pink taken by furbags.
