Hit the Salt with my brother Gerry today. Wow... what a great time. We slung shiny bits of metal into Puget Sound from my favorite beach for a few hours. About a half hour in I caught a magnificent King Salmon. Announced himself with a few quick tugs and a brutal run before he burst through the surface. There are few sights as spectacular as chrome in the air! After about 10 minutes and a half dozen more epic runs I got him close to shore and noticed he had a large fin I hoped not to see. Regardless, I was happy as a clam while I stood knee deep in the Sound reviving this beautiful beast before sending him on his merry way. I finally caught my first King in the Sound and it was worth every bit of effort!
