Spent the majority of my Saturday on this lake. Its very narrow and very shallow. The northern and southern ends of the lake are no more than 3' deep. In the middle depths are from 6-9'. The place is surrounded by fallen logs and waterlillies. The water is fairly clear but is tea colored. Sounds like a warmwater situation..

I pulled and stripped various minnow patterns and panfish flies, but never found my school. So I took out my deer hair poppers and divers and practiced techniques and other Whitlock tips for the summer months. I am not sure if this lake was ever planted, and from a conversation I had with one of the locals, it has never produced any fish that he knows of. Regardless, I think that it would be a good thing if the WDFW put some panfish in the lake. Just my .02.
