Spent Saturday morning from about 10:00 - 4:00 fishing around the mouth of the Tahuya River. Marked a lot of fish on the fish finder and seen quite a few of them jumping all around, but could never get anything to hold on. Talked to a few boats that were out there with us and no one else had caught anything this day either. It was told to us that it had been pretty hot fishing the past few days but the bite had really slowed down today. Did manage to catch a half dozen flounder and a decent size shark on a jig which were all safely released.
Since fishing was slow, we decided to launch a few crab pots and head to Union for some ice cream. After a nice soak we returned to the pots to find a few small ones and some decent sized females, but nothing to call dinner.
Once again, not the best day on the water as for fishing, but turned out to be a really nice day weather wise which makes any day on the water a good day.
