Left Port Angeles around 5:30 and had lines in the water at 6:30 roughly. Started out with a variety of bait including squid, baby octopus, herring, and salmon belly ,with a variety of scent injected in the bait including butt juice, garlic bloody tuna, and anise bloody tuna. After about 30 minutes had a relatively good hit but no hook up. Checked the bait and sure enough... bait was shredded up. Got back down and about 20 minutes later had another hit but no hook up. Rebaited and got back down. Went awhile with nothing at all so changed baits. Kept refreshing our baits throughout the day. Had one more hit a little later but again didn't get hooked. Also tried by Angeles point and nothing there either. Didn't get much fishing in here though because of an anchor fiasco. Those three hits were it for the entire day. I was really surprised that we didn't have a single fish on for having 5 lines out for 7 hours.
