We put boat in water about 1300. This was out first time to fish this lake. The water temp was 53F, but warmer in the shallow cove about 56F. I must say that for a city with as rich a tax base as Issaquah has surely had a poor boat launch. It is trap; a HumVee or MI Tank would be an appropriate recovery vehicle. We trolled around using various lures both in conjunction with pop gear and alone. Trolling willow leaf pop gear with a trailing red wedding band tied with tandem hooks and 12Lb leader, I hooked into something large, which gave one jump and broke the leader. Kirk caught one nice Brown Trout, 14-15", 2 to3Lbs. Other than that we caught the standard planter trout. The heavy traffic this lake endures must have diminished the Triploid supply.
