6/16/2015 8:59:00 PMPretty close - its Wollochet :) How deep were they? We have crabbed Wollochet bay the last few years but havent been out yet this year. The "take" has been getting steadily worse. Two years ago we got lots of large dungies on almost every drop - mostly staying less than 100ft deep. Last year we were lucky to get a limit of dungies and they were smaller and we had to go deep - 100-150 ft. The reports this year look grim for the most part. We like the rocks better but you do get less meat. Thinking we might get out next week when the tides are better.

6/17/2015 8:31:00 AMWe caught a lot of female dungies, we had at least one in every pot. We were more interested in the large rock crab we were getting. Some had a missing claw where they had been caught recently and had a claw ripped off and the crab thrown back. We had 3 that measure 7 1/4" across the carapace. WDFW web site said the species usually measures less than 6" across the back. Wiki said they get to 7.85". The 3 we got at 7 1/4" had huge claws and some breast meat. We were shallow as our lines were only 100'. I think we were mostly in 40 - 60 ft. of water. Which if as you say the dungies were in 100 - 150 ft. we had no way of getting them!
