Launched out of Twanoh State Park around 0930 and headed to Alberbrooke. Jigged with a few other boats, marking a few fish but only landing a couple flounders. Ran over to the Tahuya River area and jigged there for a while. Marking a few fish as well and catching a lot of flounders and some small bull heads. At about 1230, while still jigging, had a nice hit on the fluttering drop of my jig. With one nice run of the fish and an attempt to throw the hook with a nice jump out of the water, we landed a nice fin clipped 25 inch nook and into the cooler he went. That was all the salmon action we had. Seen a few jumping out of the water but nothing else wanted what we had to throw at them. Seen and talked to some other boats and no one else had caught anything besides a couple sharks and bottom fish.
Awesome day to be out on the water, its just too bad we couldn't keep any bottom fish or the freezer would full of them.
Used Point Wilson Dart jig in the blue/silver and green/white 2oz.
