It was a little tougher fishing today. We managed to get 8 to the boat before the clouds and rain blew in and turned the bite off almost immediately. We started fishing at the shipwreck and trolled south towards picnic point. The best fishing came when we got to the point. We fished a OGL161R Hootchie behind a White/Glow/UV Hotspot Flasher 35-55 feet down on the rigger. Today, our trolling speed had to be a little slower to get the fish to bite. Around 1.2-1.7mph water speed was the ticket today. While yesterday it was 2.2-2.5mph water speed was the ticket. Right now depth and speed matters more than color. 35 feet was great at daylight and 55 feet was the ticket after the sun got on the water.
