Last night I was on the phone with member Machewbacca and we made a last minute decision to do some fishing out on the salt. Headed down to Redondo where I met him and helped launch his boat. Setting up my go to rig which consisted of a pink wiggle Hoochie and shasta tackle's 8 inch sling blade in uv blue. Downriggers set between 30-35ft, we had our firs strike on my rod. Got the little guy close to the boat and he came unbuttoned. About 30 minutes later the bite really picked up as I hooked and landed 3. Then the bite dies big time and the tide started to go out so we switched up the game plan and bottom fished for Sand Dab. That was pretty fun. Machewbacca showed me a sweet technique that put us on fish instantly. THANKS DUDE!! after messing around on the bottom we decided to toss jigs at rolling fish. No takers. Put the boat back in gear and I hook into the fish that finished off my limit down at 50ft. I had an amazing time out on the water. It was a perfect day. Huge thanks to you Matt! Tight Lines!
