Still almost no action in the Snohomish so today I went back out to mukilteo. Dropped my crab pots in front of the park then started trolling. Got my first fish shortly after 7am and 2 more by 7:30 about 1/2 mile south of the beach houses. Ran back and trolled through that spot again but just had 1 quick hit that didn't stick. Kept trolling toward the shipwreck and got my 4th fish just past it at 9am.

The fish are running smaller this year, about the size of a big trout, so today I put a smaller diver on one of my bigger trout rods. It was hell reeling in an 11 inch flasher but when I hooked into a fish it was a blast! I had 1 fish about 20 inches that I reeled in next to the boat, then it took off and pulled about 60 feet of line off my reel. That kind of fishing is more than enough to get my blood flowing early in the morning. Who needs caffeine?
